AZ eye falls on Swedish talent

AZ is the leading candidate to Mattias Bjärsmyr to take over from IFK Gothenburg. Suppose the Alkmaar are impressed by the newly 22-year-old Swede, who in his homeland as the greatest defensive talent in the national competition will be considered. The expectation in Sweden is that the defender and his club IFK Gothenburg on short-term AZ come to an agreement.

Bjärsmyr previously played for Husqvarna, and since 2005 for IFK. He has twice participated in the A-team of Sweden and is captain of Young Sweden. Glasgow Rangers last summer was still in the market for talent. Recently, FC Groningen and Feyenoord had him in their sights, but the financial conditions were these clubs dry on the roof.

Incidentally Bjärsmyr is not the only Swede, who is on the list at AZ. Ola Toivonen, where PSV order to have dropped, is also an option for the peak position seen in the cheese town.
